Vista De Las Candelas
Vista De Las Candelas Estates is an established custom and semi-custom home neighborhood in the Catalina Foothills, with major cross-streets of 1 st Avenue and Ina Road. The neighborhood is bounded on the west by 1 st Avenue, by Ina on the north, and Chula Vista on the south. On the east, the neighborhood extends to Thunderhead Road, where it meets the Skyline Foothills Estates neighborhood.
Although it is its own separately platted subdivision, Vista De Las Candelas Estates is adjacent to two neighborhoods very similar in style, age, and pricepoint – Skyline Foothills Estates and Santa Catalina Estates. Together, the three subdivisions form an area we call The Foothills Triangle.
Many homes in Vista De Las Candelas were built in the 1970s, and while homes built later include a range of styles, including Santa Fe and contemporary southwestern, the majority of original homes in the neighborhood are ranch and territorial styles. Some of the most common architectural features include arches, flat roofs, and block construction.
The neighborhood is increasingly popular with homebuyers looking for properties that are ready for a facelift. Because of its excellent Catalina Foothills location and many of the homes’ solid brick construction, Vista De Las Candelas is attracting buyers who are looking for homes with “good bones” to update.
Although there are some remaining lots in the neighborhood, it is largely built-out. The neighborhood has no HOA and is located in the Catalina Foothills School district (Manzanita Elementary, Orange Grove Middle School, Catalina Foothills High School).
